The course is only for those with a formal Chef Qualification / Diploma and aims to set you apart from the rest of the culinary job-seekers out there by assisting with the transition from land to sea.

This 2 week course is taught by highly experienced Superyacht professionals and provides you with all the tools and knowledge in order to gain a competitive edge and find work as a professional Chef in the Superyacht Industry.

The new cooking guidelines from the MCA (Maritime and Coastguard Agency) have formalised the Superyacht Chef role and as of 15th February 2015, all current and new Chef entrants will be required to complete the MCA Ships Cook Assessment in order to be eligible for employment.

*Just like the STCW 95 course, the Proficiency in Designated Security Duties (PDSD) course has become mandatory for all crew whom work onboard Superyachts of 500gt and over AND/OR those which carry 12 fare-paying passengers/guests. Every new Superyacht crew member must complete this course as a formality.
