The Day Skipper practical course

RYA Completion Certificate (must pass practical exam)
Classes at V& A Waterfront, Cape Town

Assumed Knowledge: Candidates should have previous sailing experience of at least 100
sea miles and accumulated 4+ night hours.

Ability after course: Can Skipper a small yacht in familiar waters by day.

Duration: 5 days (4 nights, accommodation on board)

Cost: R 5 600.00 which includes meal allowance, mooring fees and an internationally recognised certificate)

This intermediate course gives you the chance to take charge on sort passages under instruction. You will concentrate on the pilotage, boat handling, seamanship and navigation. It is highly recommended that you attend the Day Skipper shorebased theory course prior to this practical course.
