Assumed Knowledge: Day Skipper Theory

Ability after course: Background knowledge to skipper a yacht on coastal passages by
day and night.

Duration: 48 hours plus exam time (accommodation not included)

Cost: R 5 200.00 (includes meal allowance, RYA student pack with basic navigation book, exercises and RYA certificate)

This is an advanced course in navigation and meteorology for candidates for the Coastal Skipper/ Yachtmasters Offshore Certificate of Competence. The Syllabus makes some provision for the revision of subjects in the Day Skipper Theory course, but those who have not acquired for the knowledge set out in the Day Skipper course are unlikely to be able to assimilate all the subjects covered in this advanced course in the time available.
